I believe healing and growth begins by experiencing unconditional positive regard, acceptance, and understanding. As a counselor, I am passionate about cultivating relationships and providing a warm, trusting, respectful and safe environment that allows an individual the space to explore innermost thoughts and feelings. I am honored to walk alongside my clients in their journeys to self-discovery and assist them in uncovering the skills and resources needed to help navigate any difficulties or challenges they may be facing in life.
I work with individuals, couples, families, and children seeking help with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, stress management, relationship issues, life changes, self-esteem, personal growth, as well as many other areas of mental health.
My practice is grounded in a Rogerian theoretical perspective; I also utilize components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness practices.
Outside of my counseling practice I am most passionate about my family. My husband and I welcomed our first child into our lives in 2017 and we are excited to welcome the next in 2019. We have been busy growing and nurturing our family over the past couple of years and genuinely enjoy each moment and seeing the wonders of the world through our child’s eyes. We are fortunate to be surrounded by family and friends whom we have loved sharing this journey with. When we’re not busy chasing a toddler around, we enjoy traveling to our cabin in Northern Idaho, visiting family in Washington, and escaping to the mountains. Other interests include hiking, enjoying the outdoors, yoga, staying active, reading and movies.
