Matt Boyd

I am a born and raised Idahoan and love living in a state that has such great diversity of people, personalities, and cultures.  I have a deep passion to assist people in finding hope and healing in their lives.  I have traveled world and studied cultures and human interactions.  Working at LIFE Counseling Center for the past nine years has allowed me to help people find healing and growth in their life struggles.  

I am currently a Counselor and the Director of Counseling Services at LIFE.  I specialize in treating children, adolescents, and adults in numerous mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, conduct issues, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.  I am also a Marriage and Family Counselor and enjoy assist families and couples in finding solutions to heal hurts caused from their relationship. Additionally,  I am a trained EMDR therapist and a certified hypnotherapist.   

Education: Matt completed his undergraduate degree in Religious Education from Northwest Nazarene University.  Matt went on to get his master’s degree in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary.  After working for a group home, Matt completed a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling.  Matt is s Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Idaho. 

Awards: In 2018,  Matt received the Idaho Counselor Association Supervisor of the Year Award.
